My work

I am a visual artist who uses paint and sculpture to create human faces and figures. I found my style in 2004 as a freshman in high school and was inspired by surrealism and psychedelic visionary art. Maryland-born and Philadelphia-based, I took art classes alongside my Graphic Design Associate Degree curriculum at Howard Community College 2008-2016, and minored in Fine Art while earning my Bachelor’s of Science in Product Design at Drexel University 2016-2019. I work as the Graphic and UI Designer for a tech start-up company while pursuing my artistic goals.

The big 3 that got me here

My primary purpose as an artist is therapy - channeling big feelings into paintings.

“Resolve” (oil on canvas, 24x18 inches) comes after a time of healing and introspection, now ready to face outward.

“Cuatro Coqui” (acrylic on canvas, 18x24 inches) was painted for a friend who wanted to remember the sounds of Puerto Rico. The guitar-frog sits on a pond of sound, sending ripples of song to her.

I started “Hide” (oil on canvas, 20x16 inches) while looking for a safe hole to crawl into and wait for the figurative storm to blow over.
